Political Poker: PPP's Wild Card Play and Zardari's Electrifying Wedding Crash

In a stunning twist of political poker, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) seems to be dealing cards from a deck of alliances and seat adjustments, with one notable exception – the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). It appears that the PTI is the black sheep of the political family, facing a colder shoulder than a snowman in the desert. Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, the puppet master of this political theatre, recently visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where he played the role of a stern parent forbidding his provincial leaders from cozying up to Imran Khan's PTI. It's almost poetic how Zardari can recite these noble ideals while conveniently forgetting his own party's less-than-stellar record of governance. The former president went on to claim that the PPP has made countless sacrifices, including shedding the blood of martyrs. Now, I'm no political scientist, but it's hard to take this claim seriously when one considers the numerous corruption scandals that have circled around Zardari like vultures during his time ...
