When Supreme Court Drama Takes Flight: A Comedy of (Airport) Errors

In a shocking turn of events, the Supreme Court of Pakistan finds itself at the center of a riveting drama involving leaked letters, VIP lounges, and the unexpected adventures of body searches at airports. Move over, Netflix – the real show is happening right at the heart of the legal realm!

Picture this: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) unwittingly becomes the star of the show, with its letter granting Supreme Court judges' spouses a golden ticket to bypass airport body searches. As the news hits the headlines, the Supreme Court's Public Relations Officer (PRO) steps into the limelight to address the situation, armed with an arsenal of questions and a sprinkle of skepticism.

In a letter to the CAA secretary and the director general of the Airport Society, the PRO slyly suggests that the leaked letter mysteriously surfaced just as Justice Qazi Faez Isa and his spouse embarked on a winter vacation to Turkiye. Coincidence? We think not.

The PRO, in the interest of full disclosure, requests the revelation of a September letter from the Supreme Court's Registrar, correcting the misconception that the Supreme Court initiated the whole body search exemption extravaganza. Apparently, it was just a casual observation about an "anomaly" – because, you know, retired judges' spouses were getting special treatment, and the serving judges' spouses were feeling a bit left out.

But wait, there's more! The PRO points out that the body search exemption cards for spouses are yet to make a grand entrance. Maybe they're stuck in traffic, or perhaps they're just enjoying a leisurely stroll through bureaucracy. After all, these things take time.

In a surprising twist, Mrs. Isa herself decided to spice up the narrative. She fearlessly entered the cubicle of the Airport Security Force (ASF) and underwent a thorough search by a lady officer. Bravo, Mrs. Isa, for embracing the spotlight and turning a routine security check into a performance worthy of an airport-themed reality show!

And who could forget the tempting offer of the VIP lounge and a luxurious limousine at Islamabad Airport? Justice Isa, our hero in this tale, heroically declined both, proving that sometimes, even VIP treatment can't sway the mighty judges of the Supreme Court.

As the curtains fall on this airport comedy, one can't help but wonder: Will body search exemption cards ever make their grand debut? Will more judges start declining VIP lounges and limousines, opting for the true airport experience? Only time will tell. Until then, fasten your seatbelts, folks – it's a bumpy ride through the corridors of justice and the aisles of airport security!
