The inauguration of the trials was a momentous occasion, graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Gul Majeed Khan, the Vice Chancellor of Islamia College University Peshawar. With an air of anticipation, Prof. Khan, a stalwart in the academic and administrative realms, officially declared the trials open by cutting the ceremonial ribbon. The ceremony witnessed the convergence of key figures in the sports arena, including the Director of Sports at Islamia College, Ali Hoti, and the Organizing Secretary, Kifayatullah.

The tableau of notable attendees extended to include the Senior Vice President of the Table Tennis Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kifayatullah, the Assistant Director of Sports, Firdous Afridi, Deputy Registrar Shabbir, and Female Coaches Saira Naz and Amna. Their collective presence underscored the significance of this event in the local sports landscape.


Addressing the gathering during the opening ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Majeed Khan expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Higher Education Commission for entrusting Islamia College University Peshawar with the responsibility of hosting the table tennis trials.
