The State Department
has reacted sharply to Pakistan's inclusion in the Child Soldiers Prevention
Act list, calling for a review of the allegations made by the United States as
untrue and misunderstood. The list is part of the State Department's
"Trafficking in Persons" report, for which Pakistan has been
providing information to the United States since 2007; therefore, Pakistan
rightly expects human trafficking, "forced recruitment and Provide
credible information on allegations of support for groups that use minors. The
State Department's report comes at a time when the United States is withdrawing
from Afghanistan and this important development has a profound effect on the
situation in the region. The progress of the withdrawal from Afghanistan as a
neighbor and the importance of Pakistan in the subsequent situation is also
extraordinary; hence the release of this report by the US State Department on
this occasion and the inclusion of Pakistan against the incident as a regional
issue It is not possible to distinguish between the present and the future.
Once a Pakistani citizen understands this report and its implications, he will
naturally look at it in the context of Pakistan's position on the situation in
Afghanistan. In fact, this is the correct way to understand it. Is this a
response to the US policy on Pakistan in Afghanistan that the Prime Minister of
Pakistan has stated in the media over the past few weeks and has been endorsed
by other top Pakistani leaders? Is the US going to repeat history and impose
sanctions on Pakistan as it leaves Afghanistan?
These questions are worth considering, and they also raise
the question of whether the West wants to control the world for fear of
sanctions and sanctions. It is a national responsibility for Pakistan to fully
defend itself in this situation. The fact is clear that the US law defines a
"child soldier" as a person under the age of 18 who is a government
official. Directly participates in operations as a member of the Armed Forces,
Police or any other security force. A person under the age of 18 who has been
recruited into the government armed forces, police or other security forces, or
a person under the age of 15 who has volunteered in the armed forces, police or
other security forces. ” The above provisions of the Prevention Act make it
clear that putting Pakistan on this list is meant to raise suspicions about our
security agencies. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the government to
raise this issue at the highest level of government and to ensure that the
United States reconsiders the registration of the incident. Pak-US relations
have their own history and significance. Seen in context, it can only be called
unfortunate. The fact is that the same American thinking has jeopardized the
prospects for lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan. At least from both
periods of US intervention in Afghanistan, it is clear that the United States
has no interest in the geo-strategic status and impact of that country and,
once it has decided to withdraw, completely ignores all past commitments.
Stands out while doing. The same thing happened in the 1990s, when Afghanistan
was in dire need of reconstruction and stabilization after the Soviet
withdrawal. Instead of participating in the good work of reconstruction, the
United States left Afghanistan as it was. Became indifferent while US sanctions
were awaiting Pakistan in case of Pressler Amendment. As a result, 1991 564
million in US aid was immediately cut off in 1991
The supply of defense equipment to Pakistan, including 38
F-16s, was also stopped. The sanctions imposed under the Pressler Amendment did
not imply that the United States no longer felt the need for Pakistan as an
ally after the end of the Cold War in December 1989 or the withdrawal of the
Soviet Union from Afghanistan. Does the United States want to take the same
action from the Child Soldier Prevention Act list that was taken from the
Pressler Amendment in the past? But targeting Pakistan on the basis of an
incident and baseless allegation is not permissible under any rules and
regulations, it would be against the ethics of international relations and its
effects would be negative and severe for the future of Pak-US relations. Will
cause mistrust. The kind of relationship that Prime Minister Imran Khan
stressed with the United States after the US withdrawal from Afghanistan could
be mutually beneficial. The Prime Minister had said that we want the same kind
of relations as the two countries of the civilized world have - the United
States and the United Kingdom or the United States has relations with India.
