Political and military leadership solidarity on national issues

The meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security gave a comprehensive briefing to the country's political and parliamentary leadership on important foreign affairs, internal security, internal challenges, changes taking place in the region, especially the Kashmir dispute and the current situation in Afghanistan. The political and parliamentary leadership expressed satisfaction over the briefing and wished for peace, development and prosperity in Afghanistan. A question and answer session was also held in which the members made recommendations. The Parliamentary Committee on National Security held a camera meeting at Parliament House Islamabad on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Committee, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser. During the meeting, DG ISI Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed gave a comprehensive briefing. The participants were informed that Pakistan has sincerely played a very positive and responsible role in the Afghan peace process. Pakistan's concerted efforts have not only paved the way for dialogue between the various Afghan factions and warring factions, but also for the beginning of meaningful dialogue between the United States and the Taliban. The meeting was informed that Pakistan, the true representative of the people in Afghanistan, would welcome the government at all levels and would continue its responsible role for Afghan peace. It was further stated in the meeting that Pakistan's land was not being used in the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan and it was hoped that Afghanistan's land would not be used against Pakistan. Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa also answered some questions of the participants.
In view of the issues that were discussed in this meeting and there was a general consensus on it, this briefing, meeting or gathering can be termed as Parliamentary National Dialogue. Such meetings also serve to build consensus on national issues and strengthen unity and harmony on various national issues and issues. The need for this briefing was felt due to the changing situation in the region, in which the US withdrawal from Afghanistan is at the forefront.
When the United States invaded Afghanistan after 9/11, Pakistan sided with it. Afghanistan was plundered by the United States and its NATO allies in this attack. When the Taliban government was overthrown, they climbed out of the houses of power and into the mountains. Thus began the guerrilla war. The political setup established by the United States was not allowed to rule peacefully. The United States launched this war in the name of ending terrorism. With the support of the United States, Pakistan has fallen victim to terrorism and despite fighting 80,000 people, it is still struggling. Pakistan unconditionally supported the United States in this unpopular war. The United States ranked Pakistan as a "frontline ally" for its services and paid 20 20 billion in "installments" as compensation for the war, while Pakistan suffered a loss of سو 150 billion in terms of infrastructure destruction. Happened During the war, US relations with India began to grow. The United States also assigned him a role in Afghanistan. When India turned its back on the United States against Pakistan, Pakistan-US friendship came to a head which turned into tension and then a series of threats and intimidation started from it. Pakistan exercised as much restraint as possible and persuaded the United States to negotiate with the Taliban. The two reached a peace agreement under which the United States was to withdraw from Afghanistan by May 2021. Postponed to Meanwhile, the Taliban intensified their operations and the occupation began to increase. The Ashraf Ghani administration is urging the United States to refuse to withdraw. The United States does not deny the withdrawal, but it wants to establish bases in Pakistan and monitor Afghanistan from here after the withdrawal. Pakistan flatly refused to give bases to the United States, which was clearly announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan. His position is that the US could not win the war by staying in Afghanistan, how can it win by sitting in Pakistan. Furthermore, we are going to negotiate between the Taliban and the United States. How can we become a party by supporting the United States against the Taliban?
The whole scenario was laid out in the said meeting. The implications of refusing to give bases to the United States were also examined. Other issues of the region were also discussed along with India's barbarism in occupied Kashmir, CPEC and Pakistan-China relations. There was a broad consensus on all issues. The meeting was attended by members of all parliamentary parties. The number is said to be 80. There was a need for a further briefing which is expected soon after Eid. Misunderstandings on national issues should not arise in the first place. If something like this happens, such meetings and gatherings are necessary to remove them.

CJPs and Cricket Bats: A Comedy of Errors in Pakistani Politics

In the grand theater of Pakistani politics, where political maneuvering is as common as chai on a Lahore street corner, a new act has taken center stage. Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faez Isa, is wielding the judicial cricket bat, and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is desperately trying not to be bowled out. Picture this: a three-judge Supreme Court bench led by CJP Isa, not satisfied with the PTI's petition on "enforced disappearances." It's like a cricket match where the batsman is desperately trying to hit the googly, but the bowler is throwing legal curveballs. And guess who's in the commentary box? None other than Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan, a seasoned politician and lawyer, ready to face the googlies and bouncers of justice. CJP Isa, like a stern umpire, questions Ahsan's "locus standi." It's not your everyday courtroom drama; it's a judicial power play. The CJP suggests that the petition might be for the "benefit" of a po...
